Arcanafex
Welcome to my personal repository of esoteric and arcane information. This page is intended as much for my own convenience as for sharing my rather disparate interests with visitors. So, feel free to browse about through the topics available. Obviously the information here will change over time with updates and alterations to layout, content or both. If you have any questions or comments, I encourage you to contact me at the address at the bottom of the page. Please keep in mind that this site may not be problem free. It was tested on Explorer 6, and is not guaranteed to be fully portable to other browsers (apologies).
Theory
I'm a big fan of rational thought. One of the exciting things about rationality is that it can be applied to observation and experimentation to yield all sorts of fantastic, predictive realizations about the world. I'm in fact not the only one that is impressed with this sort of consciousness. Here are some of my own thoughts in this arena, as well as those of my friends.
Futurism
This subject covers quite a broad range of thought. This is the heading under which I deal with science fiction and similarly "futuristic" musings. I see Sci-Fi as a medium that serves as a means for us to reflect upon our own contemporary lives and self-image, and how we relate to 'others'.
Antiquity
Old places and places like old places. Things out of the past, real or fantastical, sometimes forgotten. Sometimes forsaken. There is an aesthetic to such things that I find deeply appealing. Perhaps because it is from a time past, or a time that never really existed except for the romanticism of fiction... or good liars. In any case, this is the section for it.
Narrative
As in the telling of stories. In this case, a lot of what I'm covering here are my own ideas for stories, and those that are getting realized. Most prominently is my fledgeling Call of Cthulhu campaign site, which falls into the area of role-playing games. Yes. Role. Playing. Games. This is what I classify as interactive improvisational cooperative story-telling.
Language
When people talk... Language comes out.
Identity
Who am I? This is a question that people have been and will probably continue to ask themselves for about as long as one endeavors to develop a conception of self. I would express at least part of an answer as follows: I am the author of this page. A slightly more detailed response can be found below.
Culture
Sophistaction and dandiness. Arts
NOT SO RANDOM text. Crafts
